This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Laura Vallot
who was born in Louisiana on February 08, 1959 and passed away on April 28, 2006
at the age of 47. We will remember her forever.

A Loving Mother, Daughter. Sister, Grandmother, and Friend Laura Mae "LA" Vallot
was a native and life long resident of New Iberia, Louisiana. She died suddenly at or about 9:20 A.M. Friday April 28, 2006, at Dauterive Hospital. Laura was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church and an employee at Dauterive Hospital for some 9 years. Laura had a smile that "CAPTURED" and "TOUCHED" many people and

Laura is survived by her Loving Mother who is now also deceased,  Gloria Decuir Jacquet of New Iberia, Three 
sons Larry James Vallot Jr, Lewald Lance Vallot, and Fiance' Artesha, and Dontorick Jermain Jacquet all of New Iberia.  Five sisters Cynthia Jacquet,  Sylvia 
Jacquet,  Vanessa Jacquet Phillips and husband Alfred,  Carol Jacquet Arceneaux, 
and Troyetta Jacquet all of New Iberia.   Three brothers, her twin Larry James 
Jacquet, Rodney Jacquet, and Carl Jacquet all of New Iberia, La.  Laura had four 
grandchildren  Jatori, Ta 'Laija, Kay'Men and Morgan Vallot and a Special child (Tyler Gardner) whom she rared as her own all of New Iberia, La. 



Laura had three Godchildren Kenyetta Rochelle,  Amiri Benoit,  and Shakeyia Anthony all of New Iberia.   Laura's Godmother Leona J.Guillory of New Iberia,  and Godfather Harold Decuir of Lafayette, La.   Laura's former Mother-In-Law  Joyce R. Vallot  and a host of Aunts,  Uncles, nieces, nephews, and other close friends and relatives.....


Laura was preceeded in death by her Father Clement Jacquet Jr. Maternal 
grandparents Felix Decuir and Alina Jean - Batiste Decuir,  Paternal grandparents,  
Clement Jacquet Sr. and Lillian Johnson Jacquet.  A nephew Lawless Travor 
Jacquet, three uncles Otis and Arthur Decuir, and Alfred Jacquet Sr.   One aunt 
Emma Decuir Elow, Clarence Rochelle Jr. a special cousin, and her ex-husband 
Larry Vallot Sr.

The  Gift  Of  Children


Children are a Priceless Gift
that cannot be bought or sold
but their value is far greater
than a mountain made of gold.

For gold
has no ears to listen,
no heart to understand,
it cannot bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand.

Its cold and lifeless,
it can neither see nor hear,
